Q: What is the song that is played in the end credits? I'm thinking of the one that sounds like both "Deportation" and "When Our Wings Are Cut, Can We Still Fly?" by the Kronos Quartet from the 21 Grams soundtrack. (from Zach in California)
A: In the end titles there are two songs. The first one, the one I think you're talking about, is indeed "When Our Wings Are Cut, Can We Still Fly" by Kronos Quartet. (thanks to Selbst, Torinoadd more info

Q: What is the song playing in the credits as well as when she is getting choppered out? It is a Moroccan-type guitar tune that starts out slow and then picks up a bit? (from matt in CAli)
A: That should be "When Our Wings Are Cut, Can We Still Fly?" from Kronos Quartet... which can be found as Track 16 on the 21 Grams soundtrack. I can highly recommend both films and of course this fine piece of music! (thanks to ralf, Vienna, Austriaadd more info
A: OK, the song in the chopper scene and the one in the end credits are two different songs - the first is "Iguazu" by Gustavo, and the second I have no clue. All i know is it's worth the effort to find because it's beautiful!!! (thanks to mighty_max, Ramat-Gan, Israeladd more info
A: The same selection is used frequently in the HBO series "Deadwood." (thanks to Music Watcher, Los Angeles, CAadd more info

Q: What's the song playing in the last scene when the Japanese father finds his daughter on the balcony?  (from Miriam in NY)
A: Track 19m "Bibo No Aozora/04" (thanks to Luke, Californiaadd more info

Q: What are the chords in the last track (with the policeman in the bar and the father on the balcony with his daughter)? It's a little tricky working it out on the guitar. It sounds or feels a little like Merry Chrismas Mr Lawrence by Sakamoto. Very beautiful. (from pete in australia)
A: Yes it's a Sakomoto. "Bibo no Aozora / 04". Sorry don't know the chords (thanks to Bona, Australiaadd more info
A: I've got a working version of the chords you can try, I don't think it's totally right, but I'm going to keep working on it
First piano riff
Am G F

Second:
F Em Dm

Third:
F Em Dm (one octave up, though)

Then the part at the end of the cycle is Em and then C
Try that out. I think it needs some tweakin, because I seriously doubt that the chords would be that simple for a song like that. (thanks to Dan, Syracuse, NYadd more info

Q: Also wanting to know the J-pop entry song, help please! (from Kimberly in TX)
A: Yuguchi Aimi's "Smile." you can watch the music video on youtube.com (thanks to Evan, Philippinesadd more info

Q: Hey all, I know that "Cumbia Sobre El Rio" is a song by Celso, but when you listen to the track, a few words/lines appear to have been said by Gael. I just want to know if this is true. (from zee17 in London, UK)
A: It's not Gael Garcia Bernal... actually it is Blanquito Man, from Molotov. (thanks to trinchabife, Santa Cruz de la Sierraadd more info

Q: Is the song from the DVD's main menu on this album? If so, what is the name of it? It sounds like "Iguazu," but is a different song. (from mike in michigan, usa)
A: It's the same song as the one at the end of the movie in the credits. (thanks to mighty_max, Ramat-Gan, Israeladd more info
A: click here for video (thanks to Lut, Vancouveradd more info

Q: What is the very fast paced acoustic song in the middle of the movie? I'm pretty sure it is playing when the tour bus leaves the couple (Pitt, Daines) in the village. It seemed like a pretty long number with varying paces of acoustic guitar.
...from lafelkins in oakland, ca, us (answer lafelkins's question)

Q: I've checked out a few different versions of "Bibo no Aozora," but none of them match the song that plays on Babel's DVD Menu. Can anyone specify what version, or exactly what the songs name is?
...from Sabih in Houston, Tx (answer Sabih's question)

Q: What is the name of the song played in the DVD menu screen? It has guitars and is a very beautiful track with no lyrics. It sounds like morrocan guitars or something along those lines. And it's not "Bibo no Aozora" as I have just purchased that and it wasn't it. (from Lise in new zealand)
A: It is "Bibo no azoro." The part you hear starts half way through song, so fast forward. (thanks to john, sydney, australiaadd more info
A: It is such an amazing song, I know exactly which track you mean. It is "Bibo no Aozora," but be careful... there are two versions on the soundtrack. It's on the 11:25 min version, not the 7:15 min version. That should make it clear for you. The 11:25 minute song is an amalgamation of three different tracks and the track your after starts around the 4:15 min mark. Enjoy! (thanks to Dan, sydney, australiaadd more info
A: "Endless Flight" and is from Argentinian genius artist Gustavo Santaolalla. (thanks to renumac, Caracas, Venezuelaadd more info

Q: What's the ambient/drone music being played when the Japanese girl and her friend go to the fountain place and hook up with those guys? It lasts till the subway ride, right before they go into the nightclub. (from Eddie in Cairo,Egypt)
A: The song is called "September" by EARTH, WIND, & FIRE. (thanks to Shizuka, Los Angeles, CA/Americaadd more info
A: It's not "September" by Earth Wind & Fire. It's an ambient instrumental piece with heavy base going at the background, which lasts till the Club and is slowly amalgamated into the Club Track. Must be some other track! (thanks to Sumedh, Mumbai, Indiaadd more info
A: Ryuichi Sakamoto - "Only Love Can Conquer Hate" (thanks to Brad, Canadaadd more info

Q: What's the name of the song playing when the two boys and their father are being held up by the police on the mountain side?
...from Christian Ivan in San Diego, CA. (answer Christian Ivan's question)

Q: What's the song playing when Santiago picks up his aunt? It is the first song playing (not "cumbia sobre el rio"). (from melo_21 in California)
A: Pipe Bueno - Para que regreses (thanks to lonely_animal, indadd more info

Q: What does the chanting in the track "Prayer" (sometimes called "Chieko Cries") mean?
...from WonderingWhat in Danville, Illinois (answer WonderingWhat's question)

...from Daniel in Portland Oregon (answer Daniel's question)

Q: What song do the musicians play for the bride??
...from IDk in Chicago,il (answer IDk's question)

Q: Who is playing so amazingly in "Deportation/Igauzu"?
