Soundtrack Q & A
Q: What is the name of the song playing when Dean finds Troy hanging in his apt? Who sings it? (from wiggles in huntington, wv)
A: The song is "Sleep Song" by Rooney. (thanks to kams, WIadd more info
A: "Sleep Song" by Rooney, but you won't be able to find it. You can find a demo of the song on mastedonia.com, a Rooney fan site, but the version that's in the movie was recorded for an album that never saw the light of day, and probably never will. It's not on any filesharing programs either. If you can actually find it, congrats! But i don't think you will. (thanks to charter, grand rapids, michiganadd more info
A: I found it on Limewire PRO. (thanks to Johnny, Duluth, MNadd more info
A: The song is "Sleep Song" by Rooney. You can download it on P2P, but the only version you'll get is a demo version, NOT the one used in the movie. The demo version doesn't have lyrics over the chorus the way the song used in the movie did. As far as I can tell, the version used in the movie (with lyrics over the chorus) only exists in the movie. "Sleep Song" isn't on Rooney's new album, "Calling the World," either. Why they don't just release it (MANY people desperately want it) is beyond me. (thanks to pdwxm29, oregonadd more info
A: It is "Sleep Song" by Rooney. You CAN get the movie version of this song as an extra track if you buy the entire "Calling The World" album on iTunes. This song is not featured on the store bought version of "Calling The World." As far as I know this this the ONLY way to get the Chumscrubber version of the song. (thanks to marko, floridaadd more info
A: The version that was released as a bonus on Calling the World unfortunately isn't the Chumscrubber version either. It was remastered so it sounds quite a bit different than the version in the movie. The keyboards kind of drown out the guitar and the drums have a different tone. Also the vocals are quite a bit different. The search for the Chumscrubber version continues! (thanks to geoff, naples, fladd more info

Q: What is the name of the song playing on the stereo when Dean's in his room and he's trashing everything? (from Nick in California)
A: It's Rooney "Sleep Song." (thanks to Brandie, Ohioadd more info

Q: Why isn't "Sleep Song" on the soundtrack CD? The movie version sounds so awesome. (from johnny in new jersey)
A: Probably so we'd spend hours trying to hunt it. I agree, "Sleep Song" is definitely the best song in the movie. (thanks to protect, VAadd more info

Q: All I remeber of the song playing when Dean finds Troy hanging and again when Dean trashes his room is the lyrics "...Moonshine makes me feel dead..." This site said the song playing is "Sleep Song" by Rooney, which was never released. I looked up the lyrics and there is nothing about Moonshine, so what is the Moonshine song? (from Shar in Melbourne)
A: I'm answering my own question. I must've misheard the lyrics originally. "Sleep Song" by Rooney IS the missing song that plays when Dean finds Troy hanging AND when Dean trashes his room. (thanks to Shar, Melbourneadd more info

Q: How come the "Sleep Song" by Rooney version that is in the movie, isn't released? I think it would get a lot of people wanting it. (from Shaz in Aus.)
A: It was released back in November 2007 in the "When Did Your Heart Go Missing" [single] [import] and comes with 3 songs: 1. When did your heart go missing, 2. Too late, 3. SLEEP SONG and you also get a Video of "when did your heart go missing." Its cost about $14.99. Bad news is I bought the last one :) (thanks to obstacle1, Union City, California, USAadd more info

Q: Why is the version of "Sleep Song" by Rooney better in the movie than the one Rooney released? Is the movie version available? (from Luke in Australia)
A: Actually you need to download iTunes and buy the entire special album Calling the World. You will get "Sleep Song" as a bonus. To my knowledge this is the exact same song as the one in the movie. (thanks to Anon, VAadd more info

Q: What song is playing when Dean meets Crystal? (from Cam in canada)
A: "Pure Morning" by Placebo. (thanks to courtney, Melbourneadd more info
