Q: | What is the title/artist for the music used when Doug & Kate perform their pairs competition? (from bergen in NJ) |
A: | The song is "The Race" by Yello. This is used in both the Nationals and the Olympics. The movie used a instrumental version of this song, which I can not locate. (thanks to Al, Schaumburg, IL) add more info |
A: | There is no "instrumental version" as they used highly edited and strung-together parts from the original 13 minute version of the song which has vocals all throughout it. It's kinda like the way there's an "official" 3 minute version of Kraftwerk's wonderful classic song "Autobahn" but the original version is almost 12 minutes long. Your best bet, if you want that song, is to somehow isolate the audio from the film OR get the original 13 minute version and then do the edits yourself to match Doug and Kate. Last but not least - Toepik! (thanks to John, Chicago) add more info |
|
