Soundtrack Q & A
Q: I'm looking for the name of the song heard at the start of the negotiation scene. It starts as Lisa holds Pita's teddy bear at the top of the stairs. (from LJ in toronto)
A: This particular set of vocals, sung by Lisa Gerrard, is heard multiple times throughout the movie, but can be found twice on a track entitled "The End." This is the iTunes version's last track, or track 27 if you purchased the version that moviemusic.com currently sells (as of 28 July 2007). The two instances of the vocals start at around 4:40 and 8:55. Quite possibly the most haunting neo-classical composition I've ever listened to. (thanks to ds, usaadd more info

Q: What is the name of the song in the scene where Denzel is in the club? It's a rave song or techno song. (from lauro garcia in fort stockton tx, usa)
A: "Juice" by Growling Mad Scientists. (thanks to Varay, Seattleadd more info
A: Rave Explosion psytrance track (thanks to Seth, HELLadd more info
A: Hi there, to be more specific, there are few tracks as follow(from beginning of the scene):
1.Kinky - Mas
2.GMS - Juice(live)
3.Deedrah - Reload (GMS Remix)
4.Zorba - The Rush
5.Deakin Scott - Hell-Bent
And now I have a question: WHAT IS THE NEXT ONE PLEASE?????? Denzel make a conversation with woman in Spanish, in background you can hear the song, but this in none of the tracks above. You can check/listen these scene on youtube (Man On Fire - Rave Explosion). Can anyone help with this one please? (thanks to gruby102, Poland,Cracow / UK,Londonadd more info

Q: At the end of the movie and in some other part of the movie, there is this slow song sung by a woman and it sounds like she might even be speaking in a different language like Italian or something. It is not the "Una Palabra" song but the other one. It is even on the soundtrack, but it is in the techno version called "Man on Fire." I want the original song like at the end of the movie and not techno. Thank you. (from reece in U.S.)
A: The song is By Lisa Gerrard. She doesn't sing in any particular language either. Look her up - she's that familiar voice in many movies like Gladiator and Troy. (thanks to Gabriel, Montereyadd more info
A: Lisa's vocals on the "Man of Fire" song (Isn't it referred to as "Creasy Dies" on the soundtrack?) are actually the last 2 minutes of a song called "Now We Are Free" written by Hans Zimmer for the movie "The Gladiator." Lisa Gerrard is from Australia and she and her divinely, beautiful voice have been around for at least 20 years. Some people have said they hear a variety of sounds in her vocals, including Celtic, Reggae, Turkish, Native Tribal Spiritual (whatever that means!) and Iranian (interestingly, Celtic is derived from the same core language group as the Iranian language, unlike our English). I would venture to guess that she really is singing the words of an authentic language from somewhere though. If you like her vocals in "Man of Fire", you might enjoy the album/CD "Immortal Memory" which she wrote in collaboration with Patrick Cassidy (in memory of his father, I believe) I especially liked "Effegy" and "Immortal Memory." Her voice is just as heavenly and ethereal as "Now We Are Free." Otherwise, you'll have to buy the soundtrack to "The Gladiator" to hear that same exact piece of music you heard in "Man of Fire." (thanks to KC, USAadd more info
A: Actually, it is not the same song as "Now We are Free," which is in a language Gerrard created herself. The song in "Creasy Dies," although very similar and in the same style, is not the same song from Gladiator. (thanks to Liz, Virginia Beach, VA, USAadd more info
A: Download the song from BearShare under Lisa Gerrard Man on Fire soundtrack (thanks to john, South Africaadd more info
A: The song is called "The End" and is by Lisa Gerrard. (thanks to Nemesis, Englandadd more info

Q: What is the song in the first torture scene where Denzel is cutting of the guy's fingers? It comes on before "Hey Mickey." (from G in boston)
A: Its called "Oye como va" by Kinky. (thanks to SGT, Chula Vista, CA, USadd more info
A: There are 2 songs by the Latin band, Kinky, in this movie and both of them are on the album also called "Kinky". The first one is called "Mas" and the second one is called "Field Goal". "Field Goal" is less than 1 1/2 minutes long but it's a great song and it's a great album. Their music is a mixture of Latin and rock and techno and trance and electronic and jazz and rap and dance and . . . . In other words, a bit of everything. (thanks to KC, USAadd more info
A: This song was originally written and performed by Carlos Santana, and the sound quality and performance are far, far superior to the Kinky cover. (thanks to dirty, indianaadd more info
A: The song "Oye como va" is not an original by Carlos Santana as previously stated. Although Santana's cover is the most famous one, the original is actually by Tito Puente and his orchestra and it was written in 1963. The version on the movie is indeed by Kinky. (thanks to nweb, Portugaladd more info

Q: Is "Blue Bayou" on the soundtrack? If not who sings it? (from Losmo in El Paso Texas)
