Soundtrack Q & A
Q: When they go to the club, the DJ featured there is DJ Dust. There is music spinning in the club. Where can I get this music? It is not on the soundtrack. (from Marina in Philadelphia, PA)
A: It's "Cavern" by Liquid Liquid but not the original version from 80s. It's some kind of remix. (thanks to peace_0f_mind, Moscowadd more info

Q: What's the song playing when Norton walks in the bar on his last night of freedom? It's the bar where he goes in the backdoor.... guess I should say club, where he gets VIP. Thanks. (from Brad in Oklahoma)
A: "Cavern" by Liquid Liquid (thanks to Patie, Californiaadd more info

Q: What's the song playing in the club when Jacob's student walks through the curtain drunk and on E? The shot is a close-up and moves backwards with her walking through the curtain. The only lyric I could make out was a repeated "It's Alright."  (from Ski in Philadelphia, PA)
A: This is a complete list of the songs at the club... but you'll notice that when you get these tracks, they don't sound as good as they did in the movie. That's because DJ Dust was mixin' em fierce, and that club scene is hot. Cymande's song "Bra" has the line "...but it's alright, you can still go home...."
"Warm It Up Kane"
Big Daddy Kane
from the album Very Best of Big Daddy Kane

"Flava in Ya Ear"
Craig Mack
from the album Project: Funk Da World
(also available as CD single)

"Put the Music Where Your Mouth Is"
Olympic Runners
(note: one of the songs played early on at the club)

"White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)"
Grandmaster & Melle Mel
from the album Message from the Beat Street: Best Of

"Cavern"

A: The group is Cymande and the song is "The Message." (thanks to Jeneefra, Californiaadd more info

Q: I understand that DJ Dusk was mixing the songs, so what about finding those tracks by DJ DUST somewhere???? Especially "White Lines" - I mean, the percussions were really kickin' - Don't you think he was recording his work that night just because he was featured in a major movie? (from Lola in Miami, Florida, USA)
A: DJ Dusk was portrayed by Cipha Sounds. He is a DJ/producer out of NY. He contributed some of his original mixes to the movie but I can't find these tracks anywhere. (thanks to hugo CIAOvez, Austin, TXadd more info

Q: What is the name of the song in the disco scene "But It's Alright"? And who made it? (from Deb in Philadelphia Pa 19124)
A: The song is called "Bra" it is by a popular rasti-band called CYMANDE, that whole album is great. (thanks to Carmen, New Yorkadd more info

Q: Is the song at the end (during credits) played by DREDG?
...from tom in Portugal (answer tom's question)
