Soundtrack Q & A
Q: There is a song in one of the commercials that is kinda slow but intense at the same time..... what is this song? (from justin H2O in wyoming)
A: Songs from the commercials for the movie: "The End Is The Beginning Is The End" by Smashing Pumpkins and "Take a Bow" by Muse. The TV trailers featured Massive Attack's "Angel" and Jocelyn Pook's "Dionysus" (from the Gangs of New York soundtrack). (thanks to feelflows, Germanyadd more info
A: Kind of odd that the Smashing Pumpkins song is also part of another DC hero movie... Batman & Robin. But there are also 2 different versions on the soundtrack. (thanks to RULLUR, Harrisburg,NCadd more info
A: One of those songs listed above is almost right... it's actually "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" by Smashing Pumpkins, not "The End is the Beginning is the End". It might not seem like that big of a difference, but they are actually two different songs. The one used for the Watchmen teaser trailer is the slower, more dramatic of the two. And yes, that song was also used on the Batman & Robin soundtrack. Both of them were actually.. "The End is the Beginning is the End" is the first track on the cd, and "The Beginning is the End is the Beginning" is the last track. (thanks to t-mofosho, washington, usaadd more info

A: I don't know much about the song, but I know it's the German version of "99 Luft Balloons." It is not on the soundtrack. (thanks to Evan T., NJ, USAadd more info

Q: What's the song playing in the opening credits? (from Phoenix in India)

Q: What song is playing when Laurie finds the nite owl's plane (Archemedes-Archie) and gets in ??? It's after the scene of rorschach's fight in prison, about 1 hour and 32 minutes into the movie.
...from p. in greece (answer p.'s question)

Q: What song is playing when the comedian is jumping out of the airship to stop the rioting? (from PsychoSmart in Mulvane, KS)

Q: What music is playing as Dan and Laurie leave Adrien standing in his palace at Antarctica? It sounds like a piece of choral music to me.... (from luke in townsville, australia)
A: "Requiem" by Tyler Bates (thanks to cindy4u, S.Koreaadd more info

Q: What is the song playing after Dr. Manhattan tells his story and is floating on Mars naked? The beginning sounds like a piano. (from April in Asia)
A: It's a compilation of two songs by Philip Glass, both were composed for the movie Koyanisqaatsi which is a music-only movie, part of a series of films he composed in the '80s showing scenes from different parts of the world. The first, softer piece is called Pruitt-Igoe (named after an infamous housing project). The second crescendo is called Prophecies. They were mixed together for the film. Fun fact: the mix is different in the actual film, there's a few extra stanzas. (thanks to Brian, washington, dc, usaadd more info

Q: What song is playing when Laurie finds the Archie Air Craft in Dan's secret lair and explores it? This was the scene before she presses the flame-thrower button.
...from Romeo in Los Angeles, California, United States (answer Romeo's question)
