Soundtrack Q & A
Q: Who is Rainey Hanes? I love his song from Iron Eagle, but I just can't find any reference to him as a singer or song writer on the internet (and that should be impossible). Did he never exist or did he record under other names, or what? Please help, if you can. Thanks. (from Benn Owens in Fayetteville, NC)
A: I've tried to find that song for years now, to no avail. I feel you buddy, it just does not make sense!!!! (thanks to Chris, Canadaadd more info
A: Check this out. I've looking for Old Enough to Rock and Roll and found it and the singer here... btw it's a she. (thanks to Manny, Panamaadd more info
A: The info you need is here (thanks to Mike, Long island, New Yorkadd more info

Q: What's the song and artist heard in the scene where Chappy is flying and he plays music? It was something out of the 50s. (from josh in louisville, ky usa)
A: Chappy only flies w/Doug - Doug plays Road of the Gypsy after they refuel, then One Vision for him "to make up some time" and then Chappy goes down. After that, Doug says, "This one's for you, Chappy" and plays "Gimme Some Lovin'" by the Spencer Davis Group (featuring a very young Stevie Winwood on lead vocal and probably electric organ!). Available on iTunes and probably lots of other places. (thanks to Adam, Seattleadd more info

Q: What's the song playing when Doug is fighting against the surface to air missiles then helicopters? This is towards the end of the main fight scene before he picks up his dad. (from Cameron in California)
A: If I'm remembering my spot correctly, it's right after they shoot Colonel Masters and Doug takes back off and wipes out a bunch of things and then drops the Hades bomb, right? That's "Hide in the Rainbow" with a couple interesting cuts, available on the soundtrack. (thanks to Adam, Seattleadd more info
A: I think it's the song before that, when he goes against the surface to air missiles then right after is the choppers. (thanks to cam, Sourthern caadd more info

Q: What song is playing when they are doing bomb practice and Chappy makes him shut it off? (Then, he turns it back on and hits the "bull's eye")
...from Z in Michigan (answer Z's question)
